Normally averages 15–17 mph or at the pace of the slowest riders.
Mileage of the route ranges from 40 – 60 miles.

Route options
The route usually heads towards Betws-y-Coed and further into the Snowdonia National Park, but it can vary along the coast some weeks.

All members are encouraged to post suggested rides – it’s very easy: just think about where you want to ride and put the suggestion up on the Facebook page!

Porth Eirias Rides

Meet most Saturdays for a 9am start at Porth Eirias The Promenade, Colwyn Bay LL29 8HH.

‘The Aim’ of these rides is to ride socially and sensibly on quiet roads and lanes. The routes vary from 40 to 60+ miles, with a café stop approx half distance, the  pace usually 12/14mph, so easy for some challenging for others.

For updates on these rides please check our Rhos on Sea CC Facebook Group

Sunday Rides

Please note the route is always posted on Facebook the Thursday before the Sunday ride, taking account of the weather forecast, or decided by those out riding on the day)

Speed & Distance
The Sunday rides are harder and faster than the Intermediate Saturday rides, and are therefore best suited to more experienced riders. Distances and pace will increase from spring into summer.

Normally 16–17mph or at the pace of the slowest riders.
Standard route is anywhere between 60 – 100 miles.

We ride all over Snowdonia National Park and along the North Wales coast line. Some times we will ride to Anglesey. If you have a suggestion for a Sunday ride, please suggest it on our Facebook page.
